Return Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. This return period begins on the date of delivery confirmation.

Return Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet ALL of the following conditions:

  • Item must be in the same condition that you received it
  • Unworn or unused (beyond normal try-on for fit)
  • All original tags attached and intact
  • Original packaging and any included accessories
  • Receipt or proof of purchase

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us first: Email hello@pentathlete.com with your order number and reason for return
  2. Wait for approval: Do not send items back without prior authorization
  3. Follow instructions: If approved, we'll provide a return shipping label and detailed instructions
  4. Send to correct address: Returns must be sent to: Pentathlete c/o Debrouillard Inc. 1108 Lavaca St Ste 110-602 Austin, TX 78701 USA

Important: Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted and may be returned to sender at your expense.

Damages and Issues

Immediate Inspection Required: Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Shipping Damage: If your package appears damaged during shipping, please photograph the package and contents before opening and contact us immediately.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

Standard Exclusions:

  • Perishable goods (food, flowers, plants)
  • Custom products (special orders, personalized items)
  • Personal care goods (beauty products, skincare)
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
  • Sale items or clearance merchandise
  • Gift cards or digital products

Athletic Merchandise Specific Exclusions:

  • Hygiene items: Athletic undergarments, base layers, compression garments, or intimate apparel
  • Used athletic gear: Items showing signs of use beyond normal try-on (including but not limited to: perspiration, deodorant marks, stretching, or field/court use)
  • Event-specific merchandise: Items purchased for specific competitions or events after the event date has passed

Condition-Based Exclusions:

  • Items damaged by misuse, normal wear, or accidents
  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
  • Items missing original tags, packaging, or authenticity labels
  • Items returned without prior authorization

Exchange Process: The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Shipping Policy

US Only: We currently ship only within the United States. International orders are not accepted except under exceptional circumstances and at our sole discretion. Any international orders that are accepted will be subject to all US-based return and refund policies outlined herein.

Refunds

Processing Timeline:

  1. Notification: We will notify you within 2 business days once we've received and inspected your return
  2. Approval Decision: Refund approval or denial will be communicated within 3 business days of receipt
  3. Refund Processing: If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days
  4. Bank Processing: Additional time may be required for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund

Refund Amounts:

  • Full Refund: Original purchase price minus any promotional discounts that were conditional on the returned item
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product
  • Return Shipping: Provided at no cost when return is pre-approved and shipped using our provided label

Partial Refunds:

We may issue partial refunds for:

  • Items returned with missing original packaging
  • Items showing signs of use beyond normal try-on
  • Items returned damaged due to customer handling

Quality Guarantee

Authenticity Promise: Débrouillard guarantees the authenticity and quality of all Pentathlete by Débrouillard merchandise. Any product that fails to meet our quality standards will receive a full refund or replacement at no additional cost.

Defective Item Promise: Any item received in defective condition will be replaced or refunded at no cost, including return shipping.

Refund Escalation Process

If you haven't received your refund:

  • After 10 business days: Check with your bank or credit card company
  • After 15 business days: Contact us immediately at hello@pentathlete.com with "REFUND DELAY" in the subject line
  • After 20 business days: We will initiate an investigation and provide resolution within 3 business days
